March 15, 2009: Update
We are happy to announce that hierarchical tagging is now live on threetags.com.
Use semicolons (;) to separate tags, and colons (:) to separate sub-tags.
This is a rather unique feature, as there is no “standard” approach to hierarchical tagging. Please let us know if our intuitions about the best default behavior resonate, or if you would like to see something working differently.
